Spent a snowy weekend afternoon revisting "Rivers & Tides" which is 20 years old now and still seems to hold all the answers.

Great to watch it with an under-10 viewer, too, and then to see the film's (and artist's) motif repeated in her brother's hair.

Hard to express how much I enjoy stopping for a few minutes in the library at Emory to admire this incredible bronze death mask (via plaster caster, just after he passed away) of James Joyce. One of nine made. Both haunting and enlivening.
